Sunrise Inferno is a chapter of Business Network International (BNI), an international business networking organization built around the concept of referral-based growth. Our chapter brings together professionals from different industries who meet weekly to build relationships, increase visibility, and generate business through a structured, accountable system.

BNI is a structured referral organization with a proven global system. Unlike casual networking groups, BNI operates with clear expectations, defined roles, weekly meetings, and measurable outcomes. Members are committed to actively helping one another grow their businesses through referrals, not just exchanging contacts.

Sunrise Inferno meets every Wednesday at 7:00 AM at Island Lake Diner, located at 625 Portion Rd #3, Ronkonkoma, NY 11779. Meetings follow the official BNI agenda and begin on time to ensure consistency and productivity.

Membership is open to qualified business owners and professionals whose category is not already represented in the chapter. BNI allows only one professional per category to avoid internal competition and ensure members can confidently refer business within their specialty.

Members are expected to attend weekly meetings, actively participate, prepare weekly presentations, and look for referral opportunities for fellow members. BNI works best for professionals who are committed, reliable, and willing to contribute consistently over time.

Consistent attendance is a core expectation of BNI membership because regular participation builds trust, familiarity, and effective referral relationships. Members are expected to attend weekly meetings whenever possible. BNI allows a limited number of absences within a defined period, and members are encouraged to communicate with chapter leadership if attendance issues arise. If a member is unable to attend a meeting, they are responsible for managing their absence in accordance with BNI guidelines and chapter expectations. Absences are tracked, and repeated or excessive absences may be reviewed by chapter leadership. The goal is not punishment, but maintaining consistency, reliability, and trust across the chapter.

Referrals are generated through regular interaction, education, and trust-building. Members learn how to identify opportunities for one another, pass qualified referrals, and follow up professionally. Over time, this process leads to real business growth through trusted relationships.

Visitors are welcomed to attend a meeting to observe how the chapter operates and meet the members. After the meeting, visitors can speak with chapter leadership to ask questions, understand expectations, and determine whether membership may be a good fit.

After visiting the chapter, qualified professionals may apply for membership through the official BNI application process. Chapter leadership will review category availability, fit, and commitment to ensure alignment with the chapter and BNI standards.
